Checklist to Sell More Last Minute on Amazon in 2021

  • by

We get it. It is the busiest time of year for e-commerce, however it can be the most rewarding time of year too. There is plenty of opportunity to increase profits and watch the fruits of your labor grow but sometimes with all the hustle and bustle some important details can fall off the radar. We came up with a few basic checklist items to help stay on track for the end of 2021.

  • Is inventory low on stock?

Sellers might be missing out on sales if customers can’t shop products due to low inventory. During the holiday season this is critical for sellers to check inventory every day and see what needs to be replenished.

  • Is there a sale price or promotion going on?

It is important to think about how competitive prices are compared to the market. Even doing something as simple as adjusting the original price to a higher amount and then discounting it to a lower price can help catch deal shopper’s attentions. With all of the holiday sales and competition it’s really important to scope out the price and adjust this if necessary.

  • Is there confirmation of shipping or arrival time for orders?

This one is an obvious point but sometimes can be forgotten about. Don’t let shipping and turnaround times be an oversight. It is projected that 43% of American shoppers are shopping for holiday shopping as of October 2021 up until early December 2021. This means it’s crucial that customers know when their product will arrive by.

  • Is there enhanced branded content with lifestyle images for products?

At Barrel Aged, we like to make sure that customers get the full experience when it comes to making a purchasing decision. This means reviewing product listings, advertising, and enhanced branded content like A+ content and Storefronts on Amazon is necessary. Sellers need to ask themselves if they have lifestyle images of products that can be added to listings or enhanced branded content. If the answer is yes, and sellers haven’t added those on Amazon yet, we highly recommend doing so! Customers love to look at lifestyle images to see how a product will fit into their lifestyle or if gifting into someone else’s.

  • Did you win the Buy Box?

This adds tremendous value to customers as well as sellers. Amazon’s algorithm organizes who wins the buy box by sellers who have the best reputations.  The Amazon buy box is the white box on the product details page where customers can click on “Add to Cart” or “Buy Now”.
